Code of Student Conduct
The Code of Student Conduct reflects Oregon State University’s commitment to fostering a learning community where all members can thrive. Rooted in our shared values, the Code establishes standards that support dignity, respect, and inclusivity across all living, learning, and working environments at OSU.
More than a set of rules, the Code is an educational framework that encourages students to grow through both high care and high accountability. It affirms that scholarship and community flourish when individuals treat one another with respect, and it helps students build the skills needed to contribute positively to the campus community.
When members of Beaver Nation fall short of their values, the Code provides pathways for reflection, restoration, and continued growth. By balancing the rights of individual students with the responsibilities we share to the larger community, the Code supports a safe, respectful, and values-driven university community.
Request a Presentation
The Student Community Standards office seeks to be proactive in addressing issues related to conduct as well as academic and personal integrity. Our staff is prepared and willing to help educate the community through presentations to student groups, faculty and staff.
Consider inviting us to a Greek chapter meeting, a residential hall gathering, a department staff meeting, or to your classroom. Presentations are tailored to meet the specific needs of the audience and the length of time available.
